    Analytical Scientist

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    Within the Biodevelopment Process Development group, will execute projects including developing, validating and transferring chromatographic methods for biotech molecules. Execute client project according to budget and timelines given to the project team.
    Develop, validate and transfer robust analytical methods required for successful drug development and manufacturing.
    Support follow-up and throubleshooting on analytical methods.
    Support process and pharmaceutical development with chromatographic methods, technical expertise and solutions.
    Compile and analyze experimental data to generate process knowledge and decide on next steps
    Write development and validation reports and ensure their timely delivery
    Prepare and present project updates to global project team and to upper management

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Good knowledge on biotech processes development and protein purification.
    Consolidated knowledge on protein chemistry and direct experience on protein analysis by chromatographic, electrophoretic, spectroscopic and mass spectrometry techniques
    Excellent knowledge of analytical development of chromatographic methods, validation, tech transfer and applied statistics;
    To conduct sample testing for lot release, in-process, stability and R&D samples
    Knowledge of common and specific software in use in analytical labs;
    To ensure compliance to regulatory requirement, including instrument maintenance, personnel training, document drafting, review and archiving
    Responsible for biophysical characterization of proteins:
    Perform analyses including but not limited to SDS-PAGE, SE-HPLC, LAL, host cell-DNA, host cell protein, as necessary
    To develop, validate and transfer robust analytical methods required for successful drug development and manufacturing.
    To support follow-up and troubleshooting on analytical methods.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    MS or above in Biochemistry/Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Immunology or related
    Experienced in protein purification via affinity, hydrophobic interaction (HIC), ion exchange (IEX), size exclusion (SEC) and mixed-mode chromatography
    Knowledge and skills in biochemical characterization of proteins including analytical and biophysical techniques. Experience with protein formulation strategies is highly desirable.
    Solid working knowledge of DOE. Ability to critically analyze data using statistical tools and to compile technical reports
    Good presentation and communication skills
    Results-oriented with ability to work and deliver under pressure
