Dr. Sun Nanjian is an outstanding alumnus of Sichuan University. He obtained bachelor's degree and master's degree in Sichuan University.

Since January 2005, he has been elected as the ‘DuPont Fellow’ of Asia-Pacific Region (the first and only Fellow of DuPont Asia-Pacific region so far). Now, he is the Technical Director of DuPont Transportation and Advanced Materials Department.

In 2011, he led the team and won the DuPont Global Top Technology Award. In 2015, he was named the top 50 technical innovation leaders in China by China's largest financial and economic media.

For a long time, he has  led the R&D team of plastic new products. Over the past six years, new products developed by the team have generated sales about more than 1.2 billion yuan for DuPont company. At present, the three major international computer companies all use the shell materials developed by the team. The three major smartphone companies in China, Huawei, Vivo and OPPO, also use the frame structure materials developed by his team
